OWF

The As media class have been assigned to, in groups, develop a story in a 1-1/2 minute timeframe about a single word given.  There would have to be no dialogue of any kind and have at least 15 shots implementing the editing techniques learned in during previous classes.

Our group was given the word "fanciful", so we came up with a story idea about an outstanding student who imagines/daydreams his graduation and future.

During brainstorming, we had certainly a lot of trouble with coming up with this idea, as we had little to no knowledge about what the word really meant.

The brainstorming really helped us visualize the shots and made recording and organizing media in premier easier. We used the crosscutting and graphic match techniques, which helped emphasize way more the idea that we were trying to represent throughout the story.

We did a good job in the organization and communication amongst us, which made things way easier. We contacted frequently and shared new ways and ideas that we could include in the final project to make the best out of what we had done. On the other hand, we could have had used more time in class to finish editing, which was due to the lack of content we originally recorded and limited to almost make imposible to edit something out of it. This made us work during late night and barely making the deadline.
